CFS Website and 2020 ONLINE Open-Juried Art Exhibition
The new COLOUR AND FORM SOCIETY (CFS) website has been produced entirely during the COVID-19 pandemic lock-down between mid-March and early July 2020.
Just as for so many other people and organizations, the disruption caused by the pandemic accelerated projects that had been considered for some time, but now became a necessity. The mandated closure of so many art galleries and exhibition spaces resulted in the cancellation or postponement of several CFS art exhibitions planned for 2020.
It would have included our 68th ANNUAL OPEN-JURIED EXHIBITION traditionally held at the Etobicoke Civic Centre in Toronto, our highlight of each year.
So, we mobilized to create a new and re-designed website to allow us to host our major annual exhibition as a 3-month-long CFS ONLINE OPEN JURIED EXHIBITION (OJE2020), from October 1 to December 31, 2020.
This project also created the opportunity to add to our new website galleries of artwork and award winners from previous CFS open-juried and member exhibitions, and a gallery of up-to-date profiles of a large majority of CFS elected members and their artwork.
We are excited that now both our members and the public will see and understand more of what our CFS art organization is about. The CALL FOR ENTRY for our upcoming CFS 2020 ONLINE OPEN-JURIED EXHIBITION will be open from August 1 until September 1, 2020.

The new website is certainly a positive thing that came to life during a crazy time unlike any before. Thank goodness that the OJE this year has been rescued! Being part of Joanna's team of CFS members developing this new website during the lockdown was a very positive experience. Wonderful to see and learn about many CFS members profiled on the website who I didn't know yet. Looking forward to the first-ever CFS 2020 OJE coming up. Renee
