Membership

The Colour and Form Society is a group of elected, visual artists living in Ontario. With a rich history steeped in diversity  and creative freedom, the CFS  supports artists in their creative pursuit  and independent expression of art.

The Colour and Form Society holds an annual Open-Juried Exhibition in the fall, which is open to both members and non-members. The show presents outstanding art in a broad range of styles that often have quite diverse cultural influences. Acceptance into the Open-Juried Exhibition entitles non-member artists the opportunity to make a  submission for CFS elected membership status. In order to encourage excellence and public awareness for original fine art, the CFS awards prizes at its Opening Receptions.

Elected membership has two prerequisite

  1. The artist must be a permanent resident of the province of Ontario, Canada.

  2. The artist’s work must have been accepted into the CFS Open-juried exhibition (concurrent with the application year).

If an artist meets these 2 prerequisites, he/she will be invited to submit a selection of work along with an artist bio, to be juried by a committee of award-winning CFS peers. The New Membership Jury reviews submissions a month or so following the Open Juried Exhibition and notification of their decision is delivered shortly thereafter.
